Forme Astratte - this preview release and future developments - is inspired by Bernar Venet's artwork on large canvases which I saw at MAMAC (Musée d'art moderne et d'art contemporain) in Nice in December 2018. MAMAC exhibited work from Venet's conceptual years which took their impetus from the sciences such as astrophysics, mathematics and others. - I only played the strings inside the piano (e.g. plucking, hitting or striking through them), not using the keys, but making use of the pedals. I then processed the material thus gained to some extent. I envisage this work - a longer version looped - playing in a gallery which is exhibiting artwork of an abstract nature: playing while people walk around looking at the artwork. In this release, you can only hear the stereo field being exploited. However, for a looped longer version in a gallery I have spatialization in mind.
